Rappahannock retained its unbeaten football status Friday night in Colonial Beach.
The Raiders got 105 yards rushing and three touchdowns from Kenneth Madison — all during the first two quarters — as the Raiders opened up a 42-0 halftime lead and went on to post a 42-8 Northern Neck District triumph over the Drifters.
Rappahannock is now 7-0 for the first time since 1968 when the gridders from Warsaw were known as the Rebels.
Madison scored on rushes of 39, 10, and 32 yards.
Raider QB C.J. Kelly 46 yards rushing and 63 yards passing. He posted rushing touchdowns that covered 1 and 5 yards.
The Raiders’ other score occurred on a 93-yard interception return by Landon King.
“We came out and executed some things well,” Rappahannock coach William West said. “I was pleased with some kids stepping for the kids we had out with injuries. Our offensive line created some space for Madison and Kelly.”
CB’s lone score was a 2-yard, 4th quarter run by Jay’Lon Butler.
