Essex Churches Together has announced that Essex County Operation Inasmuch is being planned for 2026. This long-standing, highly successful interfaith, interracial, intergenerational one day mission event is an exceptional community experience. The date is Saturday, April 25, 2026. The opening ceremony will be at the Tappahannock-Essex Volunteer Fire Department Station 1 on Airport Road in Tappahannock. Projects will occur throughout Tappahannock and Essex County. Detailed plans will be shared with local clergy, church contacts, and team leaders at a Soup Supper on Monday, January 12, 2026. Information on projects and church collections is shared with participating churches through their church contacts. Everyone in the community is welcome to participate in the mission day. If you are not a member of an Essex County church, you can volunteer through one of the local participating churches. Essex Churches Together is grateful for past support and involvement. We look forward to another excellent mission day! Our theme is “With our eyes, our minds, our hearts, and our hands wide open, we will serve others.”
