Members of the Middle Peninsula Bird Club recently visited Rotary Poor House Park, hosted by Essex County Parks & Recreation. The group tallied several dozen birds of 22 species, including Bald Eagles and a Northern Harrier. Birder Tom Crockett captured this image of a Hermit Thrush (right), one of the many songbirds the group encountered. The park’s trails are family-friendly and great for hiking and wildlife photography.
