Helen Roane reaches into Santa’s gift bag for her treat during the Tappahannock-Essex Triad’s holiday party on December 2 at the Tappahannock-Essex Volunteer Fire Department’s banquet hall. Triad is a partnership among law enforcement, older residents and their family and friends, and community organizations. Its goal is to enhance the safety and quality of life of older people.
